Add Basilica as your preferred source on Google His Grace Bishop Ieronim of Dacia Felix concelebrated on Wednesday with Serbian Metropolitan Lukijan of Buda and Administrator of Timișoara at the patronal feast of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Szentendre, Hungary.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the occasion of the feast observed by the Serbian Orthodox Church according to the unrevised Julian calendar.

Metropolitan Lukijan presented the Transfiguration as a revelation of the divinity of our Saviour Jesus Christ and, at the same time, as a call addressed to every Christian to renew their own life through communion with God.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the traditional rite of cutting the slava bread was performed.

Metropolitan Lukijan thanked Bishop Ieronim for concelebrating and highlighted the pastoral work of the Diocese of Dacia Felix among Romanian Orthodox communities in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the cooperation between the two neighbouring dioceses.

Bishop Ieronim highlighted Metropolitan Lukijan’s pastoral ministry, recalling his care for the clergy and faithful, as well as his concern for developing Church life and preserving the diocese’s spiritual and material heritage.
